About us.

The PQF organises and holds the annual Parramatta Pride Picnic – the largest LGBTQ pride picnic in the western suburbs – held in October every year.

Meeting Details.

The Parramatta Queer Forum meets once every two months with local residents and service providers to help build capacity, visibility and events for queer people in the Western Suburbs.

Resilience and Pride in the West

Hosted by: Inclusive Communities Network, Parramatta Queer Forum

For International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia we have organised a panel discussion comprised of local people talking about queerness and community within Greater Western Sydney. See attached flyer and share it with your networks. Panellists include Cassandra Best, Karen Menzies, Christian Georges Moore and Mohammad Awad. Moderated by Shiva Chandra.

Identify opportunities to promote inclusiveness including the promotion of campaigns such as International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia and Wear it Purple Day.

Pride.

The annual Parra Pride Picnic is held in October. It brings together local services, musicians, performers, food, entertainment for a jam packed day of Pride in the Western Suburbs. 

Identity.

Raise awareness about sexual diversity through organized education campaigns, media, radio to address misconception and misinformation.

Improve.

Discuss organisational issues that affect marginalised communities such as LGBTIQA communities & identify improvements that can be made.
